Popeye Spaghetti!!!!

Spinach Pesto
2 cups fresh baby spinach leaves
2 -3 garlic cloves (3, if you want it a bit spicy)
1/4 cup toasted walnuts
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 grated manchego cheese (substitute: parmesan cheese)
1/8 teaspoon salt
freshly ground pepper
Use a knife to roughly chop the garlic, then add it to a food processor.  Add the walnuts and pulse a few times.  Add the spinach and pulse a couple more times.  Slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture comes together.  Remove the pesto from the food processor and add the cheese, salt and pepper, stir to combine.  Serve over hot pasta using a little pasta water to loosen the sauce slightly if needed.
Turkey Meatballs
1 pound ground turkey meat
1 1/2 slices fresh bread, crusts removed, pulsed into breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 large cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup Marsala wine
2 tablespoons diced dried apricots
2 tablespoons diced dried cranberries
2 tablespoons chopped baby spinach leaves
2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Preheat the broiler and spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
In a small bowl, pour the Marsala wine over the diced dried apricots and cranberries, then set aside for 5-10 minutes.
In a medium frying pan over medium heat, saute the onions and garlic until the onions are translucent, about 6 minutes.
Combine the turkey with all other ingredients, including the apricots, cranberries, wine and the onion mixture in a large work bowl; try not to overmix the mixture, overmixing will make the meatballs tough and dry. Lightly form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet then put them under the broiler on a middle rack for about 15 minutes.  You should stay close to the oven while the meatballs are cooking since they could easily burn.  You may need to raise the meatballs to a higher rack at the end of the process to brown the tops and to ensure the meatballs are cooked through.

What? u think all Guys are sweet potatoes on grow that never grow higher? hmmm

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who's brave enough
to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

What Does Your Body Language Say About You? How To Read Signs And Recognize Gestures

As we all know, communication is essential in society. Advancements in technology have transformed the way that we correspond with others in the modern world, yet when conversing face-to-face, it's not only speech we verbalize that matters. Body language is truly a language of its own. We all have quirks and habits that are uniquely our own. What does your body language say about you? And what can you learn about others by becoming aware of what some of the signs mean?

I thought it would be fun to list some of the well-known signs that body language experts study and recognize. It is said that when talking to a person the information that we receive can be broken down as:
  • 10% from what the person actually says
  • 40% from the tone and speed of voice
  • 50% is from their body language.

  • Lowering one's head can signal a lack of confidence. If someone lowers their head when complimented, they may be shy or timid
  •  Touching or tugging at one's ear can indicate indecisiveness
  • Sincere smiles encompass the whole face (noticeable in the eyes)
  • A false smile usually only engages the lips
  • Tilting one's head can symbolize interest in something or someone
  • Overly tilted heads can be a sign of sympathy
  • Closing of eyes or pinching at the bridge of one's nose is often done when making a negative evaluation
  • When a listener nods, this is usually a positive message and relays that they are interested and paying attention
  • However, excessive nodding can imply that the listener has lost interest but doesn't want to be rude
  • Touching/rubbing one's nose may indicate doubtfulness or rejection of an idea
  • Sticking out one's chin toward another may show defiance
  • Resting a hand on one's cheek is often done if they are thinking or pondering; and stroking the chin can mean the person is trying to make a decision

  • Pushing back one's shoulders can demonstrate power and courage
  • Open arms means one is comfortable with being approached and willing to talk/communicate
  • Folded arms show that there is a sort of barricade between them and other people (or their surroundings) and indicate dissatisfaction
  • Resting one's arms behind their neck shows that they are open to what is being discussed and interested in listening more
  • Pointing one's finger can be construed as aggression or assertiveness
  • Touching the front of the neck can show that someone is interested and concerned about what another is saying
  • Hand movements that are upward & outward signify positive and open messages
  • Palms that are faced outwards towards another indicate one's wish to stop and not approach
  • If one's fingers are interlaced or if the finger tips are pressed together, it usually shows that a person is thinking and evaluating
  • If offering ideas to other people, many times the sides of one's palms are close together, with fingers extended

  • Putting your hands on your hips can show eagerness and readiness (also, at times, aggression)
  • Hips pushed forward, while leaning back can show that one feels powerful (also can be a suggestive gesture)
  • A wide stance - where one's feet are positioned far apart - signifies more power and dominance
  • When one sits with legs open and part, they might feel secure in their surroundings
  • Crossed legs can mean several things: relaxed/comfortable, or defensive - depending on how tense the leg muscles are
  • When you cross your legs towards another person, you are showing more interest in them than when they are crossed away in the other direction
  • A confident and powerful position is the "Figure of Four Cross" when one's ankle is atop the other leg's knee and the top leg is pointed sideways
  • Bouncing your foot if your legs are crossed can show that you are bored or losing patience

  • The lowering of the eyes can convey fear, guilt or submission
  • Lowered eyebrows and squinted eyes illustrate an attempt at understanding what is being said or going on
  • A lack of confidence or apprehensiveness can be displayed when you don't look another person in the eyes
  • One tends to blink more often if nervous or trying to evaluate someone else
  • If you look directly into another person's eyes you are displaying self-assurance
  • Wide eyes show more of an interest in a subject or person
  • If you are irritated with a comment made by another during a conversation, a common movement is to take a quick glance sideways
  • Staring at someone can be an aggressive gesture or suggest that the one staring feels dominant
  • Recalling a memory is usually done by looking up and to the right
  • Looking directly upwards can indicate that one is thinking
  • Eye contact is normally broken if someone feels insulted by another

The Midnight Game

“The Midnight Game” is an old pagan ritual used mainly as punishment for those who have broken the laws of pagan religion in question. While it is mainly used as a scare tactic to not disobey the gods, there is still a very existence of death to those who play the Midnight Game and there is even a higher chance of permanent mental scarring. It is highly recommended that you DON’T PLAY THE MIDNIGHT GAME!

But, for those few thrill seekers searching for a rush or for those delving into the obscure occult rituals; these are the simple instructions on how to play. Do so at your own risk…

INSTRUCTIONS:

Prerequisites: It must be exactly 12:00AM when you begin performing the ritual, otherwise it will not work.

Materials required:

Candle
Wooden Door
At least one drop of your blood
Matches or a lighter
Salt
If you are playing with multiple people they will need their own of the aforementioned materials and will have to perform the steps below separately.

Step 1: Write your full name (first, middle, and last) on a piece of paper a put at least one drop of your blood onto the paper. Allow it to soak into the paper.

Step 2: Turn off the lights in the house. Go to your front door, which must be wooden, and place the paper with your name in front of it. Now take the candle and light it. Place the candle on top of the paper with your name.

Step 3: Knock on your door 22 times (the hour MUST be 12:00AM upon the final knock), then open the door, blow out the candle, and close the door. You have just allowed the “Midnight Man” into your house.

Step 4: Immediately relight your candle.

THE GAME:

This is where the game begins. You must now lurk around your now-completely-dark-house with the lit candle in hand. Your goal is to avoid the “Midnight Man” at all costs until exactly 3:33AM. Should your candle ever go out, then that means the Midnight Man is near you. You must relight the candle within the next 10 seconds. If you are unsuccessful in relighting the candle, you must then immediately surround yourself with a circle of salt. If you are unsuccessful in both of these, the Midnight Man will then induce a hallucination of your greatest fear, which will last until 3:33AM. If you are successful in relighting the candle, then you may proceed. If you are creating the circle of salt, you must remain within the circle until 3:33AM. You must continue until 3:33AM without being attacked by the Midnight Man or being trapped within the circle of salt to win the Midnight Game. The Midnight Man will then leave at 3:33AM and you will be safe to proceed with your morning.

Addition: Indications that you are near the Midnight Man includes a sudden drop in temperature, seeing a pure black, humanoid figure through the darkness, and very soft whispering coming from an indiscernible source. If you experience any of these it is advised that you leave the area to avoid the Midnight Man.

Staying on one spot the entire game will only result in the Midnight Man finding you. It is highly advised you continue moving throughout the game.

DO NOT turn on any lights during the Midnight Game.

DO NOT use a flashlight during the Midnight Game.

DO NOT go to sleep during the Midnight Game.

DO NOT use another person’s blood on your name.

DO NOT use a lighter to substitute for a candle. It will not work.

AND DEFINITELY DO NOT attempt to provoke the Midnight Man in ANY WAY.

That is all. Have fun.
